Oscar, by his Dad We rescued Oscar from RSPCA kennels in May 96, when he was about 2 months old, and unwanted. He was the only pup in the kennels that looked totally lost, and that licked my hand. He was also being bullied by his kennel mates, and we fell in love instantly. The only clue the kennels could give us to his previous life was that his mum was a Staffy. |

Oscar is of course the worlds greatest dog! One of his particular qualities is his perseverance. He never gives up!! Even when the squirrels are 30 feet above him, he knows that one day he will be able to jump that high, if he just keeps trying. Alternatively, he has experimented in using his dew claws as pitons, enabling him to climb with the squirrels. His other endearing habits include waking me running up and down stairs all night, especially when the fridge makes a noise, and refusing to go anywhere without me. On the few occasions that we do have to leave him alone, he used to make us pay by chewing any article of our clothing that we leave around - especially slippers, but washing up gloves and jumpers did just as well! - but now he just sleeps. |
