Me at work in my attic studio

My Art

For the past 12 years or so, I have been an artist, using coloured pencils almost exclusively. I am no longer able to produce art, because I have developed osteo-arthritis in my hands, and holding a pencil is now painful after about 10 minutes. There is something about the squeezing of the pencil, and the tight, controlled movements that make this impossible for me, even when I am wearing a support. I have a huge portfolio of work though, that should not be hidden away, so here it is. Using the links from the pencils on the right, you can see some examples of my work, plus some more details of my life as an artist, my awards, my published articles, a few tips on how to use coloured pencils properly, and some links to useful art and artist sites.

Please don't ask me to produce anything like that for you in future, because I can't. Some of the work is still for sale, and if you are interested, please contact me to discuss anything you are interested in.
