Bob Ebdon - Coloured Pencil Artist

This is the page on which I will put all of my new pictures as I do them. As I have been "proper poorly" for a while now, there is just one picture to show you here - hope you like it! I call it "Stranger in the House" and I am pleased to say it is now in private collection. I started this at Patchings last June - and finished it in December!This year at Patchings I worked on a picture of some stones. I have this theory that there are certain pictures that all CP artists have to do before they die - the marbles picture, the cut-glass-and-lace-doily picture, and the pebbles picture. I am going to try to tick those off! But my stones picture still has a way to go before I can show it.

Large Prints: Thanks to my purchase of an A3+ Epson printer with archival inks, I am now able to offer large prints of several of my pieces. Have a look at my Prints page for prices and examples.

Exhibition success: I am also delighted to report that another of my paintings has done extremely well in a National Competition. Each year, the "Artists" magazine and "Leisure Painter" magazine get together to sponsor a competition, for which they receive hundreds of entries, in two categories for amateurs and professionals. Just 70 pictures in each category get selected to be hung in an exhibition at Patchings Farm Art Centre which took place from June 7th to July 15th 2007. "Red Onions"was accepted into the main exhibition this year, and was awarded the Derwent Award of £250 worth of art supplies. I am delighted to have been so successful in coloured pencil against professional artists using all media. "Red Onions" also won the Honorary President's award at the 2007 UKCPS Exhibition! I am amazed and delighted to receive an Award from Ann James Massey, that means so much to me.
